We asked Cosmopolitan Magazine editor Sairey Stemp to pick out her favourite key pieces for this spring.
'I love this oversized scarf print blouse, perfect with skinnies and lots of bling.'
'Hot pink trousers make for a hot outfit!'
'The jumpsuit is a great alternative to the maxidress. Add some wedges for a glam look or just team with sandals for a trendy day ensemble.'
'If you want to catch a certain someone's eye…This printed number will do just that!'
'Oversized, sheer and patterned…what more could you want?'
'Perfecting the Sports Luxe trend…'

The mixi, a fusion of ‘the maxi skirt’ and the teeny tiny ‘mini skirt’, is the surprising silhouette that took the Spring/Summer 2012 catwalk by storm. Jason Wu as ever can do no wrong. He created huge flowing mixi skirts and dresses in an array of bright summery hues for his magical SS12 show.
- Team it with a skinny belt to give your silhouette definition and nip in your waist.
- Keep your top half sleek with tighter tops and let the mixi do the talking.
- Colour blocking can be made easy with a mixi. Try a bold colour in a fitted T-shirt with a colour-blocked mixi for a fashion forward look.
- While the weather stays cool, a top tip is to layer mixi tops and skirts over leather-look leggings for a warmer approach.
How would you style it up? Any ideas?
