Ange working her Versace Carmen Maxi Dress Cassie Jersey Mixi Dress

Angelina Jolie played it safe at the Oscars this year and let her right leg do the talking!  She certainly knew how to work her floor length black Versace dress complete with thigh high split.  Her now infamous pose comprised of hand on hip and a jutting right leg has caused a stir with the media, even prompting someone to create a twitter account just for her leg.

Nevertheless, she looked classic Hollywood glamour and inspired us to find a selection of our most glamorous black dresses.  Take a look here…

Hits and Misses at The Brit Awards

After last night’s Brit Awards, there were some looks we loved and some not so much.  Abbey Clancey looked pretty in pink in a 60’s style shift dress.  While Caroline Flack braved a high waisted shorts and blazer combo, Holly Willoughby played it safe with a classic plunging LBD!

But who just missed the mark?  Florence Welch and Alexandra Burke over complicated their looks with Florence’s over use of lace and Alexandra’s fussy detailing.  Rihanna, on the other hand wore a lovely floor length gown but should have lost the leather gloves to keep it simple!

Last night was the national television awards and the stars took to the red carpet in all their glory. It was an evening filled with glitter, tans and, of course fashion faux pas amongst the otherwise glamorous crowd.
Tulisa came in a hot pink ambre feather dress. Teamed with a tan fresh from her recent holiday, she certainly stood out but didn’t quite win in the fashion stakes! Lauren Goodger was another miss. She gained attention for all the wrong reasons as she poured her curves into a (very) tight silver low cut maxi dress. While Laura Whitmore chose the right dress (Stella McCartney SS 12) but failed to hit the mark.
Jorgie Porter, Fern Cotton and Michelle Keegan went for understated glamour.  Fern rocked the 1930s trend in a short embellished silver dress looking equally cool and glamorous, while Jorgie Porter showed off her svelte figure in a floor length burgundy dress with cut outs in the perfect places to enhance her slim waist. The gorgeous Michelle Keegan wowed the crowds in a sophisticated nude embellished gown proving to be a true soap princess.
