Go crazy for zig zags this season and embrace the Aztec print.  The perfect print for summer holidays ahead, why not clash prints and opt for Aztec-inspired nail art too!  Our favourite nail blogger, Emma from Boom Nails has put together a nail tutorial for one of our favourite trends of the season, Aztec Prints so that you can get the look too.  Over to Emma…

  1. Do a base coat
  2. Paint your base colour. You can choose any colour for this design - I went for mainly white, with one purple nail and one green nail on each hand
  3. Get hold of a black nail art pen. Start with a row of triangles. I did the outlines first, then filled them all in
  4. Draw a row of short verticle lines underneath your triangles
  5. Do a zig zag line across the tip of your nail. Then copy the same line a bit below it
  6. Draw a line of dashes
  7. FIll in the last bit of free space on your nail with a zig zag, and put some little mini dots in the gaps
  8. Repeat these same patterns on your other nails. Change up the order and add in some of your own patterns too if you like!
  9. Finish with a really good top coat, like Seche Vite

Hope you’ve enjoyed the tutorial. Let me know what you think by tweeting me! @BoomNails or check out our facebook page!

Our favourite nail art blogger, Emma from Boom Nails has created some pretty in pink nails exclusively for boohoo that are sure to turn heads in this Spring/ Summer!   Team with pastel hues and floral prints this Spring for a look that will brighten up your transitional wardrobe!

Over to Emma:

  • STEP ONE: Do a base coat
  • STEP TWO: Two coats of a pale pink nail varnish. I used a No7 one called Pinky Pure
  • STEP THREE: Use a white nail art pen to do a dot at the base of your nail. Do another dot joining on to that, and so on until you have a vertical line of white dots going down the length of your nail.
  • STEP FOUR: Repeat! Carry on until you have lots of lines going across your nail, all made up of dots.
  • STEP FIVE: I think they look quite nice like this, but to make them (slightly!) resemble sequins, I wanted to put a glitter nail polish over the top. If you prefer them without glitter then at this stage just put a topcoat on! If not, do a layer of glitter over the top.
  • Hope you liked the tutorial! Emma x
  • STEP FIVE: Do this on all of your nails

And voila you have perfect pink nails!

Neon and Monochrome Boom Nails Step One and Two Step Three Step Four Step Four Step Five Step Five Step Six

Nail art extraodinaires, Boom Nails have created monochrome nails with a neon pop exclusively for boohoo! Perfect for a night out, why don’t you give these nails a go?

Over to the expert:

  • STEP ONE: As always, do a base coat! I used Barry M.
  • STEP TWO: Two coats of a white nail polish. I used a Revlon one called White On White.
  • STEP THREE: Using a neon yellow nail art pen, make a triangle shape at the base of your nail. Do the outlines first at then fill it in.
  • STEP FOUR: Repeat the process for all of your nails!
  • STEP FIVE: Now for the monochrome stripes! Use a black nail art pen to draw verticle stripes coming out of the triangles at the base of your nail. Be careful to not get black inside your yellow triangles!
  • STEP SIX: Fill in every other stripe with black
  • STEP SEVEN: Do this on all of your nails
  • STEP EIGHT: To finish, put a good quality topcoat over all your nails. Seche Vite is the one I use.
