We love a trip to the cinema at, and one of the reasons we can’t be too glum now Christmas is over is this month’s new releases! Easy to do on a limited budget, a night at the movies is perfect to beat the January chill. Here’s our guide to the upcoming previews. 

Steven Spielberg brings Michael Morpurgo’s epic novel War Horse to the big screen on 13 Jan. Already a huge hit on the West End, the film see’s Albert enlist to service in WWI after his beloved horse Joey is sold to the cavalry. Undertaking a hopeful journey across Europe, get your tissues at the ready for this moving tale of a boy on a mission to reunite with his loyal companion. 

Firmly putting Harry Potter behind him, Daniel Radcliffe stars in this stylish remake of The Woman In Black. A young lawyer travels to a remote village where he discovers a scorned ghost is terrorizing locals. Be Warned: this is not for those faint of heart!! In screens from 10 Feb. 

Following a 12 year retirement, The Muppets return on 10 Feb to start where they left off. Fun for all the family, this big budget outing sees the gang unite against an evil tycoon plotting to destroy their theatre. Stuffed with musical parodies and cameos, The Muppets ignite the spirit of fun in everyone.
