Check out behind the scenes from the boohoo A/W TV advert
We went along to the next TV shoot to give you a sneak peek of the action. Focusing on the key trends on the season, including Heritage, Gothic and Mod Life. We love the owl print jumpers and peplum skirts. Which one is your favourite?
From dip-dyed skirts to ombre hair, the dip-dye trend has been everywhere this season, and it’s still going strong for Autumn. Luckily, it’s also a perfect easy DIY technique to update your wardrobe with! I’ve been seeing some gorgeous dip-dyed jumpers around that are taking the trend into the colder months, so on today’s DIY I thought I’d share my super-easy tips to make your own at home. This is a perfect way to add a splash of individuality to one of this season’s jumpers so I went for one of my favourite boohoojumpers, The Tori Studded Cross Sweat Top
2. Which key designers have influenced this trend this season and in the past?
This is a very London trend sparked by Louise Gray and Meadham Kirchhoff - heavily influenced by street kids, club kids and japanese styling. Hitting the 90s rave trend alongside clashing prints and intense colours this trend is of the zeitgeist and is ultimately a very girly and feminine trend - saved from being sickly sweet or hilarious with clever styling and worn with an attitude. It’s like playing dress up in real life and just having fun.
While it is still wet, sprinkle the caviar pearls over your nail until it is covered to the pattern you desire. (Don’t forget to put something underneath your nail for any excess pearls, this way you can use the funnel provided and place back into your bottle of caviar pearls!)
Repeat on each finger to complete the caviar look.
For best results, leave to dry for 15-20 minutes and apply a topcoat around the edges of your nails so they stay on for longer.
Volia! Everyone will think that you have dipped your talons in hundreds and thousands! Yummy!

She’s never been one to do things by half has she? When lady gaga decided to wear dogtooth, she was never just going to team a simple dogtooth skirt with a black blazer - she took it to the extreme wearing the pattern from head to toe.
She had the print on her hat, sunglasses, jacket, skirt, bag and shoes. But she didn’t just stop at her clothes and accessories. She’d even gone as far as to have the print painted onto her nails and her left leg! Only Gaga..
Shop our dogtooth collection now, where you’ll find dogtooth leggings, dresses, blazers and coats.

A boohoo staple – our signature shape and also A/W’s silhouette of choice as seen across the catwalk. The great thing about maxi dresses is that they are one of the most flattering and versatile pieces to wear this season. Whether you have a petite shape or the curves that we all crave, this floor length fashion staple suits any figure.
What is more, it is perfect for any occasion - whether it’s dressed up or down. Petite women should opt for a maxi dress with heels or wedges to give the illusion of extra height and curvier women should balance out their shape by drawing attention to their neck area with a statement necklace.
So if it’s a picnic in the park or a summer wedding that you simply cant wait any longer for, a jersey maxi dress is a must have.
Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, SJP and Cheryl Cole have all been papped wearing this wonderful creation along with gorgeous accessories to complete the maxi dress look. So why not follow in their footsteps this summer and accessorize to the max to stand out from the crowd.
If maxi dresses aren’t for you, then why not try a floor length maxi skirt to create a similar look but wear with a simple tee or an embellished bralet to be bang on trend this season. Style gurus such as Olivia Palermo and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are both fans of the maxi skirt trend, teaming it up with simple knits and leather jackets to finish off the perfect outfit for summer.
They are shinier than metallics, these pieces are foil wrapped! Hi-shine, light reflecting pieces that look good both day and night. One of our favourite bloggers has done it again and come up with an easy step by step guide to getting the hottest shoe trend this season, the metallic cap-toe shoe.
Over to Rosie: Since Louis Vuitton send them down his Spring/Sumer catwalk earlier this year, cap-toe shoes have been the top of every fashionista’s summer shoe list. The look is simple but effective, and it’s super-easy to create yourself as a fab way to give new life to some of those old flats hidden away at the back of your wardrobe!
This would work with any style of shoe – ballet pumps, pointed toes, heels or flats but I decided to go for a pair of slipper style shoes in a pastel shade, in true Louis Vuitton style
I chose Boohoo’s pistachio coloured slippers and went for a silver metallic cap toe, although this would just as easily work with a colour pop, neon or gold metallic toe. The rest was easy.
There are different ways to create a DIY cap toe, but I went for the quickest and easiest: using fabric spray paint. The only tricky part is making sure you cover your shoes in masking tape to create the area that will get sprayed. Here’s some simple instructions to create the look:
So Tuesday night was the night where celebs came together for a star studded evening to celebrate the Inside Soap Awards 2012 nominations after yet another year of great soap operas!
Catherine Tyldesley wowed the crowds in her red hot body con dress teamed with some simple black heels while Kym Marsh, she went for a classic look with a boohoo favourite, the black skater dress with a statement red bag. But our favourite look of the evening has to be Michelle Keegan with her edgier look with super shiny high-waisted leggings teamed with a simple white shirt and biker jacket.
The boys didn’t disppoint in the style stakes either. Emmerdale star Rik Makarem looked dapper in a grey suit while Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson rocked a cool aztec print shirt! All in all a great evening was had by all and we can’t wait to see what the stars will wear to
We are so excited to announce that we are the official sponsors of Inside Soap Awards 2012! We all love a good soap and this year hasn’t disappointed in the soap drama stakes. From Pat Butcher’s death to murderers in Hollyoaks, soap stars came up trumps with turbulent storylines this year.
So watch this space as we cover the awards from start to finish from the exciting nomination party to the Inside Soap Awards ceremony itself. We will be getting all the latest from behind the scenes and red carpet! From Coronation Street to Emmerdale, we will be celebrating with the stars, talking to them about the dramas from both their real life as well as soap lives.
Steven Murphy, Editor of Inside Soap, commented: ‘We are really excited to be working with boohoo.com for this year’s Inside Soap Awards. We have been overwhelmed with the amazing success the awards have had year after year, and look forward to a fantastic event.’

It may be a time-consuming activity but if you want to get silky soft skin, moisturizing is a necessary step to take. Perfect for maintaining your holiday skin, we wanted to find the best body butter out there to keep our skin feeling soft and supple all summer long!
At £6.49, Good Things Ultra Rich Body Butter smelt amazing and left skin feeling really soft during the course of the day. Perfect for normal to dry skin, this moisturiser absorbed really quickly without leaving any oily residue. No fuss, great smell and great value for money, we loved this body butter!
Ooh La Spa Moist at £1.99 is very affordable and excellent value for money. It is perfect for everyday use to keep your skin soft and smooth and also has a beautiful perfume which leaves your skin smelling fresh and fragrant. However if you have very dry skin and require something more intense, then this isn’t the moisturiser for you. It is perfect for those who have a regular moisturising regime and can’t afford the expensive labels.
At £12.99,Burt’s Bees Body Buttercame in at the most expensive of the four. It had a lovely fragrance without being too overpowering like some of the other butters. It looked like it had a thinner texture expected from a body butter but it absorbs well into the skin without being greasy. All in all it left skin feeling sillky smooth however the price tag is a bit of turn off being about half the size of the other body butters.
Dirty Works Coconut Caress Body Butter at £4.99 was our middle of the range body butter. It has a lovely fragrance if not a little overwhelming. It is a light moisturiser but keeps your skin soft all day. The butter seemed a little greasy on first appearance and left a bit of an overpowering smell but all in all, it is good value for money.

So we have put together our latest top five tips so you can keep up to date with the latest beauty trends this season…
NUMBER ONE: A bold lip
Don’t be afraid of a bright lip colour. Red is a great colour for both blondes and brunettes - Fair skin tones should opt for a lippy with blue toned crimson, medium to olive ladies can indulge in a red with orange undertones, and dark skinned girls get all the luck, being able to take their pick from light coral colours right through to berry shades.
NUMBER TWO: The quick nail dryer
Ever get annyoed waiting for your nails to dry? Or even worse, think that they have dried and smudge or all your hard work? After a good nail art session, the worst thing you can do is scuff your nail masterpieces. To hurry up the drying process, dip your nails into cold water and they will dry in no time!
NUMBER THREE: Tidy up that eyeliner
Liquid eyeliner can be tricky to apply. If like us, you love doing a defined eye but don’t like the mess, don’t worry once you have applied your liner, dip your cotton wool bud into some water and run along your lash line to smarten it up.
NUMBER FOUR: Fix that hair
You have probably heard of mixing salt and water to spray on your hair to get the perfect tousled look. But sugar water is the best natural hairspray. Mix a few teaspoons of sugar with a small cup of water, put into a spray bottle and style away. Whatever your hair-do is sure to do what it’s told with this top tip.
NUMBER FIVE: Lengthen those lashes
Destroyed your lashes with mascara? Fret not, apply almond oil to your lashes and they will grow back in no time.

Don’t forget, a maxi dresses are not festival-friendly - they might be perfect in the sun but when the mud kicks they are not so chic!
