A perfectly defined eyebrow is a beauty procedure that should not be overlooked. It can be a tricky one: what colour, what shape and how big? Luckily our beauty experts reveal all the insider’s tips to get the perfect brow.
Rule Number One: Your eyebrows should begin in the corner of your eye, in line with the edge of your nostril. Use a eyeliner to line up your nostril with the beginning of your eyebrow to judge where this is.
Rule Number Two: Never pluck your eyebrows from the top, only from underneath!
Rule Number Three: Fill in your brows with an eyeshadow and an angled brush.
Rule Number Four: Use clear mascara to set the shape!
Gruesome drip nail art…not for the faint-hearted. This design works well with all nail colours but for a Halloween spin we opted for a classic black and gruesome green – a red would work bloody well too though!
Want to know how to get this ? First of all, paint your base. Then using the drip colour, overload the brush with the polish until it is ready to drip and let it drip its way down your nail. Repeat a few times per nail and try different amounts of drips of polish per nail for a realistic look.
The perfect hair look to take you from day to night and easy as one, two, three read on to see just simple it is to create yourself a messy top knot!
If you want a really texturised bun, then spritz a bit of salt spray through the ends of your hair. Rub hair together at the ends to get some volume and a really messy look. Then start gathering hair together to the top of your head. Try to avoid using a brush. The messier the better.
Gather hair up slowly to the top of your head.
Secure hair with a transparent hair tie. Check you like the height of your top knot. If your not happy readjust and try again.
If you have thin hair, you can gently backcomb your ponytail from the bottom up to add some texture to create a larger knot. If you have backcombed, spray some hairyspray into your ponytail at this point to secure your hard work! Then carefully wrap your ponytail around the hair tie.
Secure with a handful of kirby grips around the base of the top knot. To finish off, add a last spray of hairspray to secure your top knot and voila, there you have it a messy top knot.

2. Which key designers have influenced this trend this season and in the past?
This is a very London trend sparked by Louise Gray and Meadham Kirchhoff - heavily influenced by street kids, club kids and japanese styling. Hitting the 90s rave trend alongside clashing prints and intense colours this trend is of the zeitgeist and is ultimately a very girly and feminine trend - saved from being sickly sweet or hilarious with clever styling and worn with an attitude. It’s like playing dress up in real life and just having fun.
While it is still wet, sprinkle the caviar pearls over your nail until it is covered to the pattern you desire. (Don’t forget to put something underneath your nail for any excess pearls, this way you can use the funnel provided and place back into your bottle of caviar pearls!)
Repeat on each finger to complete the caviar look.
For best results, leave to dry for 15-20 minutes and apply a topcoat around the edges of your nails so they stay on for longer.
Volia! Everyone will think that you have dipped your talons in hundreds and thousands! Yummy!
